"Love your philosophy and consider your document 'Blueprint for Small Home Approval' one of the most important writings I have come across in my sixteen years of TH [Tiny Home] involvement." Rob Mair 2022
"Hi Jo, Looks like you are indeed the author of ‘Blueprint for Small Home Approval’ which Rob Mair shared in Tiny Houses- Adelaide and SA (Facebook). I took the time to read the whole document. Hands down the best written, most comprehensive document I’ve read in all my tiny house/small space living research. Covers practical, ethical, social aspects, different types of living, challenges, advice (with appropriate disclaimers), all in a really clearly and compassionately worded way. It argues the critical need for legal, affordable housing solutions without being preachy or sounding like you’re pushing a ‘movement’ and recognizes the MANY types of people who have the need to move forward in this way. Your document will definitely be referenced by me, especially informing the constructive ways to approach councils and building approvals. It needs to be a collaborative and problem solving process and the use of correct language and approach is key. Anyway, just wanted you to feel proud and put a feather in your cap. Your efforts (no doubt great) have not gone unnoticed. Cannot praise your work enough." Tiina P. 2022
"It's a surprise, so interesting. Anyone who has given you carte blanche is going to go WOW. I am clueless. That is 1000 x different to anything I could conceive or put together. To quantify this - I would come up with something 3/10. I'm calling it 8/10. Only reason not 10/10 is my brother lives in an igloo. He finds the curves difficult to deal with. Lots of marks for boldness of shapes and lose marks for the boldness of shapes. Stairway around lift is clever. Grouped by function - not a mishmash. Spaces are big. Window from manager to rec area and rec area not all glass to have space against wall for display or furniture. I'm spending $10 million on this, even Leo DaVinci gets 8 from me... Stairwell walls translucent for light well to bathroom - super feature." Brett Robinson 2019 (member of public feedback on TAFE commercial project assignment)
