It was once common for the same person to design a building, the decorative fit-out, finishes and the furniture. The likes of Gaudi, Hundertwasser, Rennie-MacKintosh and Lloyd Wright are my inspirations.
It would be a dream come true to have an opportunity to work on such a project. Realistically, most people these days don't have that kind of budget. But that doesn't mean I can't incorporate some creative elements into a building design.
Usually you commission a sculpture from an artist and a house plan from a building designer. I am in the rare position to be able to do both. That is my point of difference. If you give me the freedom of design control, you won't see another home like yours.
Even my Canaipa Collection (coming soon) of small home templates for the budget conscious, are a limited edition. The internal plans may be similar but the exteriors will look unique. I won't do the same combination of plan, cladding and roof style on the same island. I will always make each home look unique.
One of a Kind Building Design
This option is for those serious about individuality, who don't mind paying a little more for a more personalised service and design.
The Kanaipa Collection (coming soon)
In response to what I noticed is a demand for cost-effective plans with a fixed price and a reasonably predictable build cost, I have created a small catalogue of template plans which I can charge less for, through the economy of scale.
They are not quite as mass produced at kit homes, relocatables or project builder homes - I still allow a fixed number of personalised changes - but they are limited by floor area, room numbers, a selection of roof styles, cladding combinations, window and door style and quality options and fit-out and fixture style and quality options and optional carport or garage.
There are four basic plans designed for optimal passive solar orientation for each of the four main orientations - North, South, East and West Facing road. There are variations for corner blocks and sites with views worth featuring. There are one and two bedroom options.
Three bedroom designs are not included in this range because they don't fit in my small footprint parameters and because they are not as easy to adapt on a fixed small budget, and as such require custom design. I do however offer and recommend auxiliary dwelling options.
